Just one day after the confirmation that Henry Cavill will not hang the Superman cap again, we already have news of his new project, and it is one that, even if it did not have his name in front, would already arouse considerable expectation. According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, Amazon is preparing an adaptation of the 'Warhammer 40,000' wargames, novels, and video game franchise, and Cavill will be its protagonist. The deal with the owners of the brand is not closed yet, but the process is in its final stages (in the meantime, Cavill can focus on ‘Argylle’).

Cavill will also be an executive producer of the series, something that is not surprising at all knowing his fondness for all kinds of nerdy hobbies, which he spreads and comments on especially through his Instagram account: he likes to paint miniatures, builds the latest generation PCs in his spare time free and was already a fan of 'The Witcher' before giving life to Geralt de Riva.
The third name associated with this project is Vertigo Entertainment, a company that in the past has collaborated on productions with Warner or Sony. She specializes in fantasy and horror films, and her portfolio includes hits such as the animated LEGO movies, ‘It’ and its sequel, ‘The Boy' or the upcoming Minecraft movie.
With this project, Amazon demonstrates that it knows well the brands that can have an impact on a very specific type of Prime Video viewers. ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of power’, was a very clear first step in that direction, and this fiction of hypermilitarized wars in an obscurantist future where faith and technology collide could be his new great project.
