Nayak: The Real Hero is an Indian political action thriller film. It was released in 2001. Starring Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukhar Ji, Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal, and Jonny lever.
Shivaji Rao(Anil Kapoor) was employed as a cameraman at a popular television station Q Tv. Whose sting video had exposed management of politicians in a riot. He is eventually promoted to a reporter. Later Chief Minister Balraj Chauhan (Amrish Puri) accepts to go for a live interview with Shivaji Rao. During the interview, he shows the real Face of CM to the public. After Chief Minister challenges Shivaji Rao to become Chief Minister of the state for one day and face the difficulties he faces.
Shivaji accepts the challenge and did his job very well. He suspended all corrupt and dishonest people. But when he returned to normal life, he finds that his loved ones are made targets by CM's goons. These phases make him enter politics. Later he won the election and become Chief Minister.
